Newsan continues to work in terms of inclusive business, circular economy and responsible consumption through Newsan IN: its business model that allows us to respond to the problem of electrical and electronic waste by extending the useful life of household appliances and at the same time, promoting social inclusion with genuine opportunities for those people who, for various reasons, encountered barriers to accessing the labor market.

Newsan IN Electros is the first technical repair service in Argentina designed from a triple impact perspective: social, environmental and economic. This program began in 2016 with a training course of more than 380 hours that brought together people from communities in vulnerable situations, where more than 200 participants acquired tools related to the repair of household appliances and business management skills. Thanks to the tools and support provided by company volunteers, 4 Productive Units were formed in Virrey del Pino, San Martín, San Fernando and Bernal Oeste.

In 2020 and in the context of the pandemic, the digital transformation accelerated and this represented a growth opportunity for Newsan IN and together with Fundación Tzedaká - a strategic ally of the program - they launched www.ELECTROSOLIDARIO.com.ar, the first marketplace for products with impact, 100% reconditioned and recovered.

"A few years ago I took a course to repair small appliances, and so, within the framework of Newsan IN and together with other women we formed Electrotec, a Productive Unit that today is our source of work. Newsan IN is an inspiring muse that helps me grow day by day. I invite more women to join this experience," said Jessica Díaz, Entrepreneur at Newsan IN.

With the aim of continuing to scale this business model and, at the same time, reinforce the commitment to gender equality, the Newsan IN Sales edition was launched. The initiative consisted of a new training cycle to promote the development of skills for the sale of products recovered and repaired by Newsan IN Electros. This new edition makes it possible to boost neighborhood economies, promote self-employment, contribute to reducing the gender gap and improve the quality of life of consumers.

Newsan IN Sales brought together mainly women in vulnerable situations who received individual and group support from tutors, mentors and company volunteers to form 6 new Sales Units.
