The Ministry of Productive Development launched the 2022 call for the National Supplier Development Program (Prodepro), which will allocate $3,135 million to accompany companies that have projects to improve their export capacity, develop new products and processes, and promote the creation of quality employment in strategic industries.

Through provision 3/2022 published in the Official Gazette, the Ministry of Industry opened the new Prodepro call, and potential beneficiaries will have time to register until April 15 or until the budget item is exhausted.

The Program promotes investments in companies that provide industrial goods and services, in order to generate local capabilities in strategic sectors that increase competitiveness and technology, allowing import substitution and reaching external markets in goods and services with high added value.

This call will allow companies in the health sectors; mining and hydrocarbons; rail, naval, aerospace transportation, sustainable mobility; auto and motorcycle parts; defense and security; industry 4.0; and green technologies, request Non-Refundable Contributions (ANR) of up to $60 million.

In turn, it will grant credits with subsidized rates of up to 10 percentage points, intended for the purchase of capital goods, technology, software, molds and matrices, and certification of industrial products and processes.

Likewise, projects that incorporate Industry 4.0 solutions or that consider gender perspectives will be able to access additional benefits; while those that are associative between a client and its supplier may have ANR of up to $100 million.

In addition, the chosen projects will also be able to count on technical assistance through the service offering of the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI), to improve the capacity and quality of their production processes.

Since its relaunch in 2020, the program assisted 270 projects in 14 provinces for $6.29 billion in contributions and $600 million in rate bonuses, which boosted investments of $18.25 billion.

This support contributes to the promotion of greater industrialization of the country, to diversify the internal productive matrix, to the promotion of exports, technological modernization and to create quality employment opportunities.
