Newsan continues its expansion and diversification policy and enters the electric and combustion motorcycle market with an investment, for this first stage, of about 2 million dollars.
"Since we launched the mobility business unit, our objective was clear: to accompany changes in transportation habits, guaranteeing a cleaner and more sustainable environment. That is why we continue to bet on new forms of urban mobility, to be a relevant player in the combustion motorcycle market and to position ourselves as leaders in the electric segment." says Luis Galli, CEO and President of NEWSAN.
The company entered the segment through Philco, one of the leading technology and consumer brands in the country, and the emblematic Siam. The latter was founded in 1911 and produced, among other things, the legendary Siam Di Tella automobile and the classic scooters with the same name in its factory in Monte Chingolo, Lanús, province of Buenos Aires, the same one where today the first electric motorcycle in the portfolio is produced: the Siam N4 Scooter.
This model was not chosen at random to lead the launch. It is the first electric scooter manufactured by the company, promoting sustainability, energy savings and caring for the environment, since it does not emit gases or produce noise pollution. Its battery is removable to be charged or even carried out from the motorcycle. In addition, its lighting is 100% LED, it has a digital dashboard, factory alarm with remote control and disc brakes, among other features that position it as a cutting-edge product.
"We are proud to be able to undertake this project and even more so with two emblematic brands for the country such as Philco and Siam," says Guillermo Contarino, Mobility Manager, "This launch is just the starting point. We plan to incorporate more brands and models, adding alliances with foreign companies that will be announced in the coming months and without a doubt we will enhance our value proposition."
