The Argentine Federation of the Wood and Related Industry (FAIMA) together with the Institute of the Furniture Argentino (IMA) invite this meeting that brings together the entire support and innovation network of the industry of the furniture National, enhancing the visibility of the participating brands and their commitment to the growth of the sector, both in the country and in the world.

The Project Exhibition - Edition 2024, which will take place from December 12 to 15 at the Libertad Palace (Sarmiento 151), with free admission, is the coronation of a work plan that was carried out during this year, in which more than 20 furniture manufacturing companies joined with prominent designers, to promote the innovation of the entire chain and thus improve, both the production and the offer of products in the market. This joint effort seeks not only to strengthen the industry of the furniture, but also to promote Argentine design at new levels of excellence and competitiveness.

In fact, project desire has as its main objective to create a productive link between the design and the industry of the furniture. This not only symbolizes a step forward for the industry of the furniture, but also a commitment to creativity and collaboration as development engines. With the active participation of entrepreneurs and designers, this program is expected to generate high quality products and innovative design, consolidating Argentina as a reference in the field of furniture.

Within the Palacio Libertad, Proyecto Desire will be located in the space called Dry Plaza, on the ground floor and immediately below the auditorium known as the Blue Whale. It will be more than 1500 square meters occupied by the prototypes of the more than 20 participants to which the institutional space of Faima and the IMA is added.

Discovering some prototypes

Argentine talent has no limits. The ability to adapt, resilience, creativity and maximum use of resources is evident in the most diverse proposals that will be exhibited. A great national deployment of creativity, imagination and professionalism embodied in these new ideas. “We want to build the Paraguas brand that positions the sector of the furniture a nivel nacional e internacional, demostrándole al mundo el alto potencial de productividad del sector, fortaleciendo una vanguardia sectorial y posicionando a nuevos líderes que están dispuestos a marcar el rumbo” explica Pablo Bercovich, asesor FAIMA en el IMA y coordinador de Proyecto Deseo.

“Realmente, el nivel de los proyectos presentados sorprende, enorgullece y nos lleva a revalorizar la industria del furniture nacional. Proyecto Deseo se catapulta como una vía de comunicación con el mundo para construir una nueva marca país en la cual se destaque y distinga al furniture argentino por su calidad, excelencia, diseño, uso de materiales nobles, innovación, tal como lo ha logrado la industria del vino o la italiana en cuanto a moda” completa Bercovich. Además, se pretende lograr que los muebles de Argentina sean la puerta de entrada de nuevas inversiones y oportunidades para el desarrollo de las más diversas áreas productivas (turismo, RRHH, industrialización, comercio exterior, arte, etc.)

La empresa Hause Möbel presentará un “Phonebooth” con meta de uso en el ámbito laboral y de los RRHH. Es una pieza popular en muchos lugares del mundo y que tiene como objetivo sumarse a espacios de oficinas y coworkings, para poder aislarse, hablar por teléfono y realizar diferentes actividades en un ambiente privado. Otro caso notorio es la empresa CUQUI´S, que se especializa en mobiliario infantil. Han desarrollado un sistema de mobiliario y accesorios para espacios inclusivos con foco en neurodiversidades, espacios sensoriales y versátiles para actividades lúdicas, terapéuticas o pedagógicas.

Viajando al sur encontramos a Designo Patagonia, que exhibirán muebles con espacio de guardado para hoteles y alojamiento para turistas. Calm es simple, reconocida por sus colchones, lanza su primera línea de camas tapizadas para un nicho premium. Por su parte, Michel Thonet mostrará un sistema de mesas bajas configurables, que son bastante disruptivas para lo que viene haciendo en Argentina y en el mundo.

Galpón Muebles trabajó en una poltrona modelo y sillones modulares que utilizan scraps de telas combinadas con madera. Vier Abinet revelará unos “workspots” destinados a la gastronomía, especialmente para bares y cafés. Orlandi desarrolló una mesa ratona desplegable con colores de tendencia internacional. La Valenciana expondrá un sistema de sillones y mesas de arrime.

RVM es un ejemplo aparte, porque son originalmente una empresa metalúrgica y por primera vez se animaron a la fabricación de muebles en madera combinados con metales, lo que los llevó a inaugurar una unidad de negocios para la manufactura de un sistema de mesas, sillas y taburetes. Federici, en el área de cocinas, se lucirá con nuevos modelos modulares muy innovadoras en madera, combinadas entre madera y hierro con colores y formas disruptivas.
