GfK presents the results of Cyber ​​Week 2024, which took place from November 4 to 10. This event marked a new milestone in electronic and physical commerce in Argentina, highlighting the growth of sales and billing in various technological and consumer categories.

Main results

· Sales volume: During Cyber ​​Week 2024, 730 thousand units were sold, an increase of 12% compared to the 2023 event and 154% compared to the previous week.

· Billing: $346 billion was reached, representing a growth of 185% compared to Cyber ​​Week 2023 and an increase of 195% compared to the previous week.

Performance per channel

· Online: It grew by 18% in unit sales compared to Cyber ​​week 2023 and 430% in billing compared to the previous week.

· Offline: Increased 6% compared to Cyber ​​Week 2023 in unit sales and 61% compared to the previous week.

Consumer trends

· Smartphones had the largest share, representing 28% of the total units sold. They completed the top 5: televisions, fans, air conditioners and food preparation machines.

· Regarding the 2023 edition of the same event, growth is observed in most categories, being especially relevant in white goods, air conditioners and notebooks.

"This event has been very important for the industry, with significant growth in volume compared to the 2023 and 2022 events. A recomposition of sales volumes is also observed in some categories that had been showing a significant contraction this year. This event also confirms how the online channel continues to consolidate itself as a strategic space for brands and retailers", he said Daniela Martinez, Head CSM Tech&Durables Argentina para GfK (NielsenIQ).
