The new series includes a graphics card and two GPUs and aims to offer performance, efficiency and affordability for professional users.

AMD announced new features in its line of graphics for mobile and desktop workstations. This is AMD Radeon PRO W6000, designed to provide exceptional performance, stability and reliability for professional users, such as designers, engineers and general office workers.

The new AMD Graphics Card Radeon PRO W6400 It is based on the high-performance, energy-efficient AMD RDNA 2 graphics architecture and also features advanced 6nm manufacturing process technology, with 16 MB of high-bandwidth, low-latency AMD Infinity Cache memory technology that acts as an amplifier. This card combines performance and efficiency and with an affordable price and

It is optimized to meet the requirements necessary to run the most popular office, design, architecture and construction applications. Plus, it features a compact design that can easily be added to most modern, smaller desktop computers.

For their part, AMD GPUs were also presented Radeon PRO W6500M and AMD Radeon PRO W6300M for professional mobile workstations. These new GPUs are also based on the AMD RDNA 2 graphics architecture with 6nm process technology and take advantage of up to 8 MB of AMD Infinity Cache memory technology to deliver ultra-high frame rates, reliability and exceptional performance for professional applications.

The AMD Radeon PRO W6400 Graphics Card is expected to be available starting in the first quarter of 2022 and the AMD Radeon PRO W6500M and Radeon PRO W6300M GPUs will be available in pre-built machines in select countries later this year.

Advanced and high-performance features

The new additions to the AMD Radeon PRO product family offer an ideal combination of performance, efficiency and affordability for mainstream professional users. Key features include:

  • AMD RDNA 2 architecture: AMD RDNA 2 graphics architecture delivers up to 94% faster performance than the previous generation GCN architecture.
  • AMD Infinity Cache memory technology: With up to 16MB of last-level (L3) data cache integrated into the GPU die, it is designed to reduce latency and power consumption, enabling higher performance compared to previous architectural designs.
  • Advanced Features: AMD Radeon PRO W6000 Series graphics offer hardware-accelerated ray tracing, remote work capabilities, support for 8K displays, high-speed data transfer PCIe® 3.0 and the latest 4.0, support for VR creators, HDR Ready support, and quad-buffered stereo.
  • Viewport Boost: Dynamic resolution technology is designed to improve frame rates in GPU-limited scenarios. By intelligently reducing resolution only in scenarios where fast motion is detected in the viewport, it can deliver a significant improvement in interactivity without impacting user-perceived image quality.
