What does the recycling and composting program that you carry out consist of, and what have been the main results?

Since 2021, Visuar has developed a comprehensive recycling and composting program with the goal of reducing environmental impact. This plan contemplates the separation, recovery and processing of various waste generated in industrial plants and administrative offices. Among the materials we recycle are cardboard, plastic, nylon, wood, iron and expanded polystyrene (EPS). In the first quarter of 2025 alone, we recovered 302 tons of cardboard, which represented significant savings in natural resources: more than 5,000 trees, 11,000 liters of water and 1.5 million KWh of energy.

Regarding composting, it is carried out in two main spaces: the industrial plant of Cañuelas and the administrative offices of Barracas. In Cañuelas, the 73,000 square meter property houses six composters that process around 1,200 liters of organic waste per month, while in Barracas more than 300 liters are composted per month. Organic waste comes mainly from the dining room, which serves more than 800 employees, and internal offices.

What recognition did the company receive for the results of this program?

One of the greatest achievements we have achieved at Visuar is the Green Seal of the City of Buenos Aires, which we received last year as a recognition for our commitment to the environment.

What other actions do you plan to incorporate in the future to continue promoting sustainable culture?

With the aim of reducing the carbon footprint at the plant, a series of sustainable measures will be promoted, including the progressive elimination of the use of disposable cups and the replacement of hand paper in toilets with electric hand dryers. These actions will be accompanied by the creation of a business culture committed to environmental care, promoted through workshops, training and recreational activities such as trivia with prizes. All of this will be integrated into a program with specific objectives, designed to actively involve staff and consolidate sustainable habits within the work environment.
