Samsung presents the new Galaxy S23 series
Samsung Galaxy's epic camera gives users more freedom to explore their creativity, capturing truly cinematic Nightography videos with transformative AI.

Samsung Electronics Co, Ltd. introduced the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23, a new era in the best Samsung Galaxy phone experience.
The Samsung Galaxy camera gives users more freedom to explore their creativity by capturing cinematic Nightography videos with transformative AI. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor for Galaxy features revolutionary AI and a powerful and sustained mobile gaming experience.
On the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the integrated S Pen offers more possibilities for productivity, note-taking, hobbies and much more. All the innovations are housed in a design that advances Samsung's sustainability commitment with more recycled materials than any other Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
A camera with the highest number of megapixels and extensive creative controls, day and night
Galaxy S23 Ultra makes it easier to capture content. The enhanced Nightography capability transforms the way the Galaxy S series optimizes photos and videos in a wide range of environmental conditions. From filming at a concert to capturing a selfie at the aquarium or taking a photo of friends at a dinner party. Visual noise is corrected using a new AI-based image signal processing (ISP) algorithm, which improves object details and color tone.
As a first, the Galaxy S23 Ultra incorporates a new 200 MP Adaptive Pixel sensor. It uses pixel binning to support multiple levels of high-resolution processing at once. With selfie cameras more important than ever to how we communicate today, the Galaxy S23 series introduces fast autofocus and our first Super HDR selfie camera, which jumps from 30fps to 60fps, for noticeably better front-facing images and videos.
For users who want maximum creative control and customization, the Galaxy S series offers a set of tools that differentiate any photography experience. The Expert RAW app, available exclusively for Samsung Galaxy, allows you to capture and edit DSLR-style images in RAW and JPEG, without the need for bulky photography equipment. Users can experiment with multi-exposure photography art or capture a clear image of the Milky Way with Astrophoto settings, either within the Samsung Camera app or the Expert RAW app. Meanwhile, the new zoom features in the Camera Controller app on the Galaxy Watch5 series allow users to capture a perfectly framed image from their wrist.
Other camera advances
In low-light situations or situations that would normally create a blurry effect, videos are stable thanks to the doubled angles of the optical image stabilizer (OIS) in all directions.
Videos are more cinematic thanks to upscaled 8K video at 30 frames per second with a wider angle.
Advanced object-based AI analyzes every detail in the frame, including the tiniest facial features such as hair and eyes, to carefully reflect a person's dynamic characteristics.
For an even better video experience, the new 360 Audio Recording feature on Galaxy Buds2 Pro creates multi-dimensional sound.
On the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23, the iconic Samsung Galaxy camera also gets a new look as the outline casing has been removed, marking a new era of essential Galaxy design that makes the entire series stand out.
Premium performance for the future of mobile gaming
The Qualcomm "Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor for Galaxy enables unprecedented performance, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra's 5,000 mAh battery lasts 20% longer. The Galaxy S23 Ultra's graphics performance is 40% faster and its AI performance has also been optimized by more than 40% to balance performance and power for photography, videos, low-latency gaming and more. Galaxy S23 Ultra comes ready to support Ray Tracing (ray tracing) that comes to mobile games. Users will be able to see much more realistic scenes thanks to a technology that simulates and tracks every ray of light. In addition, Samsung Galaxy's vapor cooling camera, now larger and in all models of the Galaxy S23 series, ensures that immersing yourself in a gaming marathon will not put a damper on your experience.
All this power underpins the Galaxy S23 Ultra's expansive 6.8-inch Edge display with reduced curvature to create a larger, flatter surface for the best viewing experience on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Samsung Galaxy's exclusive Enhanced comfort feature allows users to adjust color tones and contrast levels, reducing eye strain caused by late-night screen time. Vision Boost now adjusts to four lighting levels, instead of two previously, to combat daylight glare and reflections.
Sustainability as a fundamental pillar of Samsung Galaxy
The Galaxy S23 series was designed with the planet in mind. Even more recycled materials have been used in its manufacturing than in the Galaxy S22 series, such as recycled aluminum and glass, and plastics from discarded fishing nets, water barrels and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles.
The new S series is the first to market Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which adds greater durability and is designed with 22% recycled content. Additionally, all Galaxy S23 smartphones come in redesigned boxes made from 100% recycled paper.
With the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung is doing more to minimize its impact on the environment without compromising quality and aesthetics. The Galaxy S23 series is UL ECOLOGO certified, which means the product has been certified for its reduced environmental impact.
For users who want to extend the life of their device, the premium experience of the Galaxy S23 series can be maintained over the years with four generations of operating system updates and five years of security updates. To ensure durability, users can also take advantage of various programs such as Samsung Care+, a protection service for accidental damage, repairs and even theft.
Easy-to-use security and privacy that enable a transparent experience without compromises
Secure and private experiences are the foundation of the Galaxy S23 series. All smartphones include Samsung's comprehensive Samsung Knox protection, which has received more government and industry certifications than any other device, platform or mobile solution on the market. The Samsung Galaxy Security and Privacy Dashboard lets you know who has access to your data and how it is used. With a simple glance, it's easy to see if personal data is at risk and receive simple prompts to change settings for a more secure experience. Users can also decide exactly which applications and programs have access to their data and how it can be used.
For an additional level of security, Knox Vault, which was first introduced on the Galaxy S21 series, protects critical information on the Galaxy S23 series by isolating it from the rest of the device, including the operating system, for further protection against vulnerabilities.
More freedom and flexibility for connected lifestyles
At the heart of the premium Galaxy S series experience is the uncompromising innovation of Samsung Galaxy Ultra. But the power and creative capabilities of Samsung Galaxy Ultra are not limited to smartphones. With the new Galaxy Book3 Ultra, and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, users can now enjoy the Galaxy ecosystem without limits.
Across all Galaxy S series models, connected experiences get additional benefits. Samsung Multi Control, which connects mouse and keyboard functions between a PC and a Samsung Galaxy tablet, now extends to Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 for maximum cross-device compatibility. Additionally, improved text usage makes it easier to copy and paste text, such as URLs, from one device to another to pick up an activity on another device. On Galaxy S23 Ultra, Google Meet, along with Samsung Notes and the integrated S Pen, make video calls even more collaborative. With Google Meet live sharing, participants can simultaneously edit a document together from each of their Android devices, instead of viewing a shared screen.
