Samsung Electronics launches Odyssey G7 monitors and exhibits the main games on their screens in Gamescom 2025

The new Odyssey G7 monitors of 37 ”and 40” offer greater resolution, higher update rates and immersive performance for the new video game generation. In addition, the brand expands the Odyssey 3D Gaming ecosystem through new alliances.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced the Global debut of its new Odyssey G7 monitors with Gamescom 2025, the world's largest video game event, held in Colonia, Germany, from August 20 to 24. In addition to the new G7 models, Samsung also presents its growing 3D games ecosystem without glasses from the Odyssey line, as well as new collaborations with important publishers, developers and video game studies.

"Our recent collaborations will offer a more authentic gameplay with 3D effects optimized for each title. We will continue to lead the Premium monitors market for video games improving hardware performance and strengthening strategic alliances like these."

Samsung maintains its global leadership in monitors, occupying the number one brand position in Gamer monitors for the sixth consecutive year. In the first quarter of 2025, the company led the market again with 18.9% global participation and is aimed at consolidating seven years in a row at the top, according to more recent data of the International Data Corporation (IDC). In Europe, Samsung also marks the rhythm with a 24.6% participation in the regional Gamer monitors market.

Within the new Odyssey G7 line: expansive screens for an immersive game

The new Odyssey G7 (Model G75F) is available in two sizes: 37 ”4k UHD (3,840 × 2,160) in relation 16: 9, and the first 40” Wide UHD (WUHD) of Samsung, with 5K2K resolution (5,120 × 2,160) in format 21: 9. This novelty expands the large -screen Gamer monitors options, which already include 32 ”and 43” models with 4K resolution.

The new models offer functions such as Picture-By-Picure (PBP) and Picture-in-Picure (PIP), which allow several tasks on divided screen. Both have VSA DisplayHDR 600 certification and 350 nits brightness, providing excellent contrast and bright colors for both games and video content. To improve the Gamer experience and daily use, each model includes:

  • HDR10+ Gaming For optimized HDR performance in games
  • AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro To reduce delays and image cuts, offering a fluid experience
  • CoreSync, which synchronizes rear lighting with colors on screen
  • Auto Source Switch+, which automatically detects connected devices
  • Versatile connectivity with one DisplayPort 1.4 port and two HDMI 2.1 ports
  • ergonomic design with height, tilt and swivel adjustment.

Gamescom attendees will be able to experience the new Odyssey G7 by playing Genshin Impact, HoYoverse's open-world RPG, on both screen versions, at the Samsung booth in Hall 9, first floor.

Bringing 3D worlds to life with new partnerships

Samsung is expanding its 3D gaming ecosystem through new collaborations and exclusive content for the Odyssey 3D monitor (model G90XF), which offers glasses-free 3D gameplay.

At Gamescom 2025, the company announced a new collaboration with publisher Netmarble and developer SHIFT UP. Thanks to this, attendees will be able to experience MONGIL: STAR DIVE, Netmarble's upcoming release, and Stellar Blade, the popular action title from SHIFT UP, for the first time in 3D at the Samsung booth.

From August 22 to 23, Samsung will host The World of #PlayGalaxy event at the Dock2 space in central Cologne, offering gamers a dynamic and immersive experience on devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Odyssey 3D.

Through strategic alliances, Odyssey 3D optimizes gameplay with 3D depth effects tailored to each game, without the need for glasses. The monitor also features adjustable focal length and custom settings, allowing gamers to control 3D depth depending on the content.

Samsung's 3D gaming offering is continually growing on the Odyssey 3D Hub – its dedicated 3D content platform – which currently supports more than 25 titles, including The First Berserker: Khazan. By the end of the year, the library will exceed 50 games, including Lies of P: Overture, Stellar Blade and MONGIL: STAR DIVE. Samsung is constantly expanding its gaming offering on Odyssey 3D Hub, a platform dedicated to 3D content that already supports more than 25 games, including “The First Berserker: Khazan.” By the end of the year, the library should exceed 50 3D titles, including “Lies of P: Overture,” “Stellar Blade” and “MONGIL: STAR DIVE.”

Highlighting unreleased titles with Odyssey OLED

Samsung is also expanding opportunities to experience its Odyssey OLED displays at Gamescom 2025 through collaborations with leading studios such as Blizzard and Pearl Abyss.

In this edition, the company equips partner stands throughout the fair with its premium displays, including the Odyssey OLED G6 (model G60SF), with ultra-high frequency of 500Hz, and the Odyssey OLED G8 (model G81SF), with 4K resolution and 240Hz.

And el stand de World of Warcraft, more than 80 gaming stations feature the 500Hz Odyssey OLED G6, offering fans a premium, ultra-fast experience as they try out the game's new housing systems for the first time.

For its part, Pearl Abyss exhibits its long-awaited open-world adventure title, Crimson Desert, in approximately 180 units of the Odyssey OLED G6 (500Hz) and Odyssey OLED G8 (4K, 240Hz) models.

Thanks to the exceptional image quality of the OLED line, these installations will allow visitors to enjoy impressive graphics in all their glory.
