Motorola continues its commitment to innovation and security in mobile devices. The company has begun implementing Android 15 on some of its devices, incorporating new tools designed to improve the user experience and strengthen protection against digital threats.

Among the notable updates is the “Theft Detection Lock”, a function that uses artificial intelligence to detect unusual movements on the device and automatically lock it in the event of an attempted theft. This functionality is part of a set of measures that seek to guarantee greater security for users.

Additionally, Motorola reinforces protection with Moto Secure App, a comprehensive solution that centralizes hardware and software security configurations. With this tool, users can manage advanced features such as malware detection, automatic blocking in untrusted locations, and protection against phishing attempts.

Android 15 also includes a complete anti-theft system that integrates features such as:

  • Theft detection lock: The device automatically locks in the event of suspicious movements.
  • Block due to failed authentication: After several failed access attempts, the computer locks and requires additional verification.
  • Factory reset protection: Prevents device reconfiguration without owner authentication.
  • Offline Lock: If a device remains out of the network for long periods, it is automatically disabled.

These advances seek not only to deter the theft of devices, but also to protect personal information and offer tools for its recovery in case of loss.

Android 15 is now available on devices like the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, and will be extended to other models.
