Kingston gained 26% market share in SSDs

Although the pandemic continued to disrupt the supply of SSD components in 2021, sales through global distribution channels saw 11% annual growth. Production demand increased, but sales volume was affected due to a limited wafer supply that prevented orders from being fulfilled on time.

Kingston Technology Company announced that it was named the number one third-party supplier of SSDs in the channel by TrendForce for 2021. According to TrendForce, Kingston supplied 26% of the 127 million units sold in 2021.

Although the pandemic continued to disrupt the supply of SSD components in 2021, sales through global distribution channels saw 11% annual growth. Production demand increased, but sales volume was affected due to a limited wafer supply that prevented orders from being fulfilled on time. In response, Kingston adopted a limited supply strategy as prices rose, and its global component sourcing strategy put it ahead of competitors.
