Steel Red 2025 Meeting
The Network brought together companies and suppliers from the household goods sector at the Hilton Hotel in Puerto Madero for three days that combined business rounds, presentations and dissertations.
From August 25 to 27, a new edition of the RED STEEL Meeting, one of the traditional events in the home goods sector. In more than 3,000 m² of exhibition, participated 86 member companies of the Network along with more than 95 suppliers, in sessions that included business rounds, presentations and networking activities.
The 2025 edition stood out for the greater presence of brands in different spaces of the hotel. There were product tastings and live demonstrations by guest chefs. Among the main sponsors were Newsan, BGH, Drean, TCL, Visuar, Whirlpool y Macoser.
On Monday the 25th, the Welcome Dinner, in which the CEO of Newsan, Luis Galli, analyzed the economic situation and its effects on the industry.
On Tuesday the 26th, Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos, spoke about the progress of the Government in economic matters. He stressed the importance of free competition and pointed out that fiscal soundness and macroeconomic order are necessary conditions to generate predictability and investments. Sector leaders and authorities also participated in the meeting, such as Daniel Tillard, president of Banco Nación.
The closing dinner, led by Teté Coustarot, featured an artistic show by Fatima Flores and Marcelo Polino. In this framework, the president of RED ACERO, Luis Alcázar, raised his rejection of the possibility of a direct sales scheme by Tierra del Fuego manufacturers. According to him, the measure could affect a retail channel that brings together some 5,000 points of sale and 80,000 direct jobs throughout the country. He also warned that the estimated price reduction would not exceed 7% and would be limited in scope.
The meeting ended with a after-dinner with music and drinks, which allowed a more relaxed closing among attendees.
