Samsung Electronics presented its bets for 2022 in Las Vegas.

The Freestyle

The Freestyle is a projector, smart speaker, and mood lighting device, all in one portable, lightweight device that weighs just 830 grams. It offers first-of-its-kind technology and flexibility to deliver optimal viewing and entertainment for customers looking to take audio and video content wherever they go. This is a portable screen aimed at Generation Z and millennials.

Unlike conventional square projectors, The Freestyle's versatile base allows for up to 180-degree rotation, enabling users to display high-quality video anywhere – tables, floors, walls or even ceilings – without the need for a separate screen.

The Freestyle comes with fully automatic keystone correction and leveling functions, enabled by industry-leading technology. The features allow the device to automatically adjust its screen to any surface at any angle, providing a perfectly proportional image every time. Additionally, the autofocus feature allows The Freestyle to display a sharp image on any surface, at any angle, up to 100 inches in size. The Freestyle also comes with a dual passive radiator that enables clean, deeper bass without distortion, and its 360-degree sound radiation allows customers to enjoy a cinema-quality sound experience no matter where they are.

To power it, The Freestyle is compatible with external batteries that support USB-PD and output of 50W/20V or higher. The Freestyle is also a pioneer in the fact that it is the first portable display that works when plugged into a standard E26 light socket without the need for additional wiring, in addition to compatibility with the traditional wall socket option.

Monitors

Odyssey Neo G8

As the world's first monitor to feature a 4K (3840 x 2160) 1000R curved display with 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time (GtG), the Odyssey Neo G8 32" (Model Name: G85NB) is set to open a new chapter in gaming monitor innovation, delivering crystal-clear performance for even the most dedicated PC gamers. Its performance matches Its stunning image quality with Quantum Mini LEDs, Quantum HDR 2000 with a maximum brightness of 2000nit and a static contrast ratio of one million to one, bringing out the subtlest details for greater world building and immersion.

The new Odyssey Neo G8 offers a sleek white exterior and central lighting on the back of the monitor, which automatically detects colors on the screen and projects them in real life to create a deeper sense of immersion.

Smart Monitor M8

With an ultra-thin 11.4mm thickness, the 2022 M8 32" Smart Monitor provides space efficiency. It features a sophisticated flat-back design with greater ease of use and comes in a new white warm color that fits perfectly anywhere. The brilliant UHD panel delivers 99% of the sRGB color gamut while supporting 1.07 billion colors at 400nits brightness, displaying every video, document or photo with real precision.

Smart TV and productivity apps are built right into the monitor, allowing for seamless entertainment and work while serving as a hub SmartThings control, even without the need for a PC. The 32” 2022 M8 Smart Monitor is a great option for remote work as it has a mobile magnetic SlimFit camera, built-in Video Call application, and a USB Type-C port that enables 65W charging connections.

S8 High Resolution Monitor

The Samsung S8 High-Resolution Monitor, available in 27” and 32” models, offers professional-grade UHD performance for creators and designers who need the highest levels of precision and reach when working in the office or at home. Offering up to 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, the S80PB delivers an ultra-wide gamut of rich, nuanced colors. Featuring Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) Display HDR™ 600, this high-resolution monitor delivers an immersive viewing experience, bringing content to life as it was intended. As the world's first UL (Underwriter Laboratories) verified Glare Free monitor, the Matte Display is applied to the top of the panel, reducing light reflection even when a monitor cover is not used, to provide a distraction-free work environment.

Both models feature 90W USB Type-C charging and LAN ports to help users create a simplified workstation.

Designed with VESA mounting compatibility standards, as well as a Height Adjustable Stand (HAS) with tilt, swivel and pivot control points, users can mount their monitor to fit any environment.

TVs

Micro Led

MICRO LED delivers best-in-class image quality thanks to 25 million micrometer LEDs that produce light and color individually, creating an incredibly immersive experience through impressive depth, vibrant colors, and a higher level of clarity and contrast. This model came in three different sizes: 110″, 101″ and 89″.

In addition to hardware innovations, MICRO LED 2022 supports 20-bit grayscale depth. This means that MICRO LED models can express every detail in a scene, offering the best control with over 1 million steps of brightness and color levels, delivering a true HDR experience. They also express 100% of the DCI and Adobe RGB color gamut, resulting in stunning, lifelike colors. Coupled with the immersive design made possible by its 99.99% screen-to-case ratio, MICRO LED delivers revolutionary performance.

MICRO LED also includes enhanced usability and customization features:

• Modo Art allows consumers to turn any room into an art gallery by selecting and displaying their favorite digital artwork or photographs. MICRO LED 2022 also comes with two exclusive multimedia pieces by noted artist and designer Refik Anadol.
• Multi View allows users to view content from four different sources simultaneously, from any or all four HDMI ports, in pristine 4K resolution at up to 120fps.
• Dolby Atmos delivers a premium immersive audio experience with top, side and bottom channel speakers for stunning multi-dimensional sound.

Neo QLED with Neo Quantum processor

Thanks to the Neo Quantum processor and the advancements in imaging and sound technology it offers, Neo QLED 2022 will deliver some of the most pristine images and most immersive soundscapes possible. In fact, this year's Neo Quantum Processor features advanced contrast mapping with BLU (backlight unit), which increases the brightness level of the gradation from 12 to 14 bits for greater control of the light source – the Quantum Mini LEDs. This allows the TV to control its lighting in 16,384 steps, quadrupled from the previous 4,096 steps.

The new Shape Adaptive Light technology leverages the Neo Quantum Processor to analyze lines, shapes and surfaces to control the shape of the light from the Quantum Mini LEDs, perfecting the brightness and precision of all shapes on the screen. The result is exceptional image quality that displays full HDR content. Samsung's Neo QLED 2022 also features Real Depth Enhancer, a multi-intelligence image quality algorithm. This technological advancement creates a greater sense of realism by determining and processing an object on the screen against its background to create a sense of depth.

Additionally, Samsung's Neo QLED 2022 features EyeComfort mode, which automatically adjusts the screen's brightness and tint based on a built-in light sensor and dusk/sunrise information. As the ambient light changes, the screen will gradually reduce the amount of light and offer warmer tones, adjusting blue light levels accordingly. This allows for a more comfortable viewing experience at night by reducing blue light that can affect sleep quality.

Based on OTS (Object Tracking Sound), which directs sound to move across the room along with the object on the screen, 2022 products will feature OTS Pro, which incorporates powerful upward-firing speakers to create superior immersive sound. Neo QLED 2022 also offers a truly extraordinary Dolby Atmos experience thanks to the addition of Samsung's new top-channel speakers. With multi-channel speakers placed throughout the TV, Neo QLED delivers a dynamic sound experience that tracks actions from every corner.

Lifestyle Televisions

In the Lifestyle 2022 displays, a new Matte Display with anti-glare, anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint properties has been applied to The Frame, The Sero and The Serif, providing one of the most pleasant and comfortable viewing experiences. As a result, the new Matte Display on Samsung's 2022 Lifestyle displays received three UL (Underwriter Laboratories) verifications for being “Reflection Glare Free,” “Incomfort Glare Free” and “Disability Glare Free.”

• The Frame now offers the most realistic art viewing experience outside of a museum thanks to anti-glare and low-reflection panel technology with an embossed Matte Display. It also prevents fingerprints and smudges, allowing users to enjoy their favorite piece of art in pristine condition. The frame comes in sizes ranging from 32″ to 85″.
• The Serif also comes with a matte finish casing to seamlessly blend with the Matte Display, elevating the iconic design for the most premium look and feel. With the addition of a 65″ size option, The Serif is now offered from 43″ to 65″.
• The Sero offers an optimized viewing experience with its new Matte Display in portrait and landscape modes. The new vertical Multi View feature takes multitasking to the next level, allowing users to simultaneously view different content at the top and bottom of the screen, or search for online information while watching something.

The 2022 soundbar line receives technological updates to provide an even more immersive three-dimensional audio experience. Q Symphony, the exclusive immersive sound experience that allows Neo QLEDs and Samsung soundbars to work together, has been refined with greater synchronization. This enables the sound bar and TV speakers to work in conjunction with all TVs speakers, including those on the top channel, providing a powerful and expansive soundscape.

Samsung's 2022 soundbars also come with Dolby Atmos wireless connectivity, a wireless Smart TV-soundbar connection in which both the screen and speakers of the soundbar provide an incredible audio experience without distracting cables.

Additionally, the new HW-S800B ultra-slim soundbar resets the standard in the slim soundbar category, delivering powerful bass in a compact form by integrating passive radiator technology with its subwoofer. With true high-power speaker channels, the new ultra-slim soundbar delivers powerful sound with just 1.6” depth.
