Sony confirmed the reissue of the first model of that device: the Walkman TPS-L2. The announcement was made at IFA 2019, an annual electronics convention held in Berlin.
And although at first glance it may not seem like a very avant-garde product, this new edition of the Walkman will have a 3.6-inch 1180 x 720px screen, WiFi and an Android system. This means that its users, in addition to playing their favorite cassettes that they may have had saved for years, will also be able to enjoy playlists created on streaming platforms such as Spotify or Apple Music, among others.
Likewise, the model will be compatible with the Hi-Res (high resolution) audio format, uses DSEE HX technology and will have S-Master HX digital amplifier. Another important fact is that its storage capacity will be 16GB with the possibility of expanding with a Micro-SD card slot. The duration of its rechargeable battery is estimated at 26 hours.
Given that nostalgia is high these days, the value of this model will be $400. We invite you to learn more about the characteristics of the mentioned product in the video that we include below.
