The HT-S400 bar allows users to hear sound from all directions thanks to high-quality Dolby® Digital, which features S-Force PRO Front Surround virtual sound technology developed by Sony. This puts viewers in the center of the action of their favorite movies, emulating the surround sound of movie theaters. Using only the front speakers, Sony's exclusive digital sound field processing technology reproduces an immersive sound field.

Enjoy clear sound and dialogue with X-Balanced Speaker Unit and Separated Notch Edge
The front speakers include the X-Balanced Speaker Unit, a unique rectangular speaker design that maximizes diaphragm area. This also reduces transducer excursion while maintaining sound pressure, resulting in less distortion and more vocal clarity.

Separated Notch Edge technology and X-Balanced Speaker Unit improve vertical amplitude symmetry, which is essential for clear sound quality. Connecting the HT-S400 sound bar to a Sony BRAVIA TV is quick and easy. Thanks to the integrated user interface, sound bar settings automatically appear in the quick settings menu of BRAVIA TVs; to easily control sound modes and volume with the BRAVIA TV remote control.

To avoid cable clutter, the HT-S400 sound bar has been designed to receive audio wirelessly from BRAVIA TVs for easy cable-free connection.

The sound bar has been designed to offer an intuitive user experience, thanks to a remote control that combines a comfortable, hand-fitting design with easy operation. It also allows easy access to Voice mode for clear dialogue, as well as a Night mode, so users can watch TV without waking anyone.

Ease of use is also found in the sound bar's OLED display, which provides information on the status of the remote control's functions, including input source, volume, and sound settings.
