Sony Electronics introduces the Sony Alpha 7V camera, the highly anticipated fifth generation of the popular Alpha 7 line of mirrorless full-frame cameras, featuring the new approximately 33.0 effective megapixel partially stacked RS™ CMOS image sensor. The new BIONZ Xr2™ image processor incorporates the AI ​​processing capabilities of the latest α™ (AlphaTM) series. The Sony Alpha 7V camera integrates the AI ​​processing unit into the BIONZ XR2 processor to deliver a substantial leap in autofocus speed, accuracy and reliability. Designed to offer maximum creative control, the Sony Alpha 7V camera achieves up to 16 stops of dynamic range, ensuring incredible tonal detail in both the bright and dark areas of the image. The AI-powered automatic white balance (AWB) feature leverages advanced scene analysis to deliver consistent color reproduction and uses deep learning technology to make light source estimates. By automatically identifying the light source of the recording environment with high precision and adjusting the corresponding tones, the camera achieves stable color reproduction and produces images with truer colors and less workload in post-production.

Versatile video recording features

To expand the creative possibilities for hybrid creators, the Sony Alpha 7V camera features additional 4K recording modes, including 4K 60p recording with 7K oversampling, available in full-frame mode, and 4K 120p recording in APS-C/Super 35mm mode, to deliver rich, detailed video footage with incredible editing flexibility.
