In order to promote environmental care, and at the same time collaborate through concrete recycling actions, the leading company in packaging solutions based on paper and corrugated cardboard launched the fourth edition of this initiative that involves the youngest people and their families in the town of Coronel Suárez.

Smurfit Kappa dio start a a new edition of its ReCreo program, qIt consists of the collection of paper and cardboard waste for recycling, in coordination with primary, secondary and tertiary schools of Coronel Suárez, Province of Buenos Aires. In addition to the schools, this year local companies Innova, Fortecar, Biodes and Buro joined as collection points for collection. Ecoambiental, for its part, will carry out the periodic collection of the materials collected at all points.

In this way, through the articulation of various actors from the private and educational spheres, Smurfit Kappa manages to reduce urban paper and cardboard waste, while obtaining inputs to recycle in its paper production process, incorporating them into new packaging solutions and strengthening its circular business model.

It should be noted that this program rewards the 4 educational institutions that collect the largest amount of paper and cardboard, delivering important prizes at the end of the year aimed at optimizing and equipping their facilities.

“It gives us great satisfaction to carry out the ReCreo program for the fourth time, after the successful results we had in previous editions. In the last three years, we have managed to recover more than 300,000 kilos of paper and cardboard thanks to the effort and commitment of the institutions, students and their families.", he indicated Sergio Torres, Manager of the Smurfit Kappa Plant in Coronel Suárez.
