“Without photos there is no vacation”: tips for optimal storage in cameras and drones
Kingston shares a series of tips for taking photos and storing them optically, especially during the holidays.

Along with the long-awaited vacations, and the long-awaited rest that often consists of a trip, We not only take care of our suitcases but also of the technology that we will carry to record the moments to come. Then a good camera or drone appears, which allows you to save those unforgettable records and regardless of the device to be used, storage space is a very important aspect.
From Kingston Technology, explain that "technological advances now allow us to capture high-quality images, such as high-resolution photos and also 4K videos, and with the most diverse devices such as a smartphone, a drone, a professional or action camera, so it is important not only to worry about the storage space to save large files, but also that the flash card is compatible."
In that sense, Kingston highlights SD and microSD cards Canvas Go! Plus, which have speeds of 17MB/s reading and up to 90MB/s writing in their 128GB and 1TB versions. They are perfect for capturing content in Full HD and 4KUHD resolution, without having to worry about dropped frames or slow speeds.
They support the A2 application performance class to accelerate workflow, and allow greater performance on smartphones, tablets, and are the ideal solution for action cameras due to their speed and capacity characteristics.
Another alternative is cards Kingston Canvas React Plus, designed to work with professional UHS-II cameras and higher speed classes U3 and V90. This allows you to take sequential photos in burst mode, and achieve recording speeds of up to 260MB/s.
The above, complemented by a capacity of up to 256GB, reading speed of 300MB/s and video production in 8K, 3D or even VR, makes it the perfect alternative for film or DSLR type cameras.
Finally, and if it is about looking for alternatives to store and/or have backups of vacation photos and videos, external SSDs are gaining more and more followers, due to their attributes such as durability, reliability and speed in processing files.
An option to carry files with style and comfort are external drives SSD XS1000 from Kingston, which offer reading and writing speeds as their name indicates in each case: up to 2,000MB/s or 1,000MB/s depending on the model. They are extremely compact, and the latest XS1000 SSD was also released in a striking red color.
Finally, and to properly manage a large number of files, Kingston recommends naming them appropriately, including reference data that allows them to be quickly identified, such as the date, location or subject of the image.
For more experienced users, another recommendation is to use metadata and tags, which allow additional context to be included in the files, in order to index them correctly and facilitate their search.
The holidays are a time to get away from technology and unplug. But also to capture and store those magical moments that will be an indelible memory all year round.
