On November 6, at a meeting organized by Goldmund in the Blender space, Peabody presented the third edition of its contest, whose objective is to highlight the best design concepts in Argentina.

In addition to the company representatives, members of the contest jury, representatives of educational institutions, design studios and entities, journalists, and authorities from the Ministry of Economy were present at the event.

In this new edition, under the theme “Beyond the present: Designing the near future”, the home appliance brand proposes to anticipate the challenges of the future, rethink living, integrating AI into our practices, and take action against the environmental crisis, seeking sustainable, concrete and functional proposals.

"The contest itself was born with the idea that new generations can think and reflect about our customs and our culture, present innovative ideas and developments. We know that design increasingly has new themes to solve, linked to innovation, sustainability, social diversity. That is why the theme of this new edition thinks a little about it, beyond the present, designing the near future," express Pilar Choi, Peabody Awards Coordinator.

During the presentation, Dante Choi, CEO de Goldmund S.A. He reviewed the key moments of the industry and highlighted the importance of incorporating artificial intelligence and new technologies to respond to the demands of contemporary societies: "We are going to have the need to create new articles, so what I ask of all the students, the students, is that they present innovative ideas, that we think for the future. We precisely want to make these events dedicated to young people, because new ideas are born from young people. So, we also want to know what young people think, what needs they have, what they feel. And that we can, with our business structure, complete the generation of those projects. The truth is, we are going to feel very happy."

Keys to the new edition

The participation of students or recent graduates (up to 1 year) from various disciplines is sought to enrich the contest with a wide range of knowledge. Although the central axis continues to be Argentine design, the inclusion of perspectives from other areas around design, such as engineering, architecture, and technological development, is encouraged. This ensures a comprehensive and multidimensional evaluation of the proposals. The same You can register for free, individually or in groups. (up to 5 members per team), and present your proposals until March 10, 2025 inclusive, in www.premiopeabody.com.ar

The new approach invites interested parties to develop proposals that respond to these questions from an innovative and reflective perspective. The intention is that the projects not only address the problem, but also materialize into concrete and viable proposals.. These can manifest themselves in various ways, from design products and technological developments to improvements in production processes with less environmental impact.
