The German company Rehau invested US$17 million in its new plant in Pilar. With this new 10,000 square meter complex, the company will add around 50 employees and plans to increase exports by 30% until 2025.

The firm has operated in the country since 1994 and has invested US$30 million in the last decade. In the last two, it registered an increase in sales of close to 50%, the company explained.

"Argentina is at the center of the company's strategy, because it is our production and innovation hub on the continent. From here we export to Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru and Bolivia, but we also design products that are then replicated in the most developed economies in the world, such as Germany," explained Martín Mom, general manager of Rehau.

Expansion
The new plant was built in Plaza Industrial Pilar. In addition to the main work, which quadruples the size of the first plant that the firm built in the country, the project includes an additional 6,000 m² warehouse and an expansion plan on a 53,000 m2 land.

In this factory Rehau will produce PVC opening profiles and profiles for commercial refrigerators and household appliances. In this first stage, the multinational aims to double the production volume in Argentina.

"We are proud to inaugurate a plant on par with the best in the world, and we believe that this milestone will boost production both locally and regionally. Expanding in Argentina is a premise that we have followed for a long time, especially because we trust in local talent to develop products within the most demanding parameters in terms of innovation," Mom concluded.
