The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, confirmed that the Government will launch a program to buy televisions with 4K technology, air conditioners and cell phones in 30 installments with an interest rate that is half of the current one.

The idea of ​​the first of the products can be related to the need for people to go out and buy these devices with the arrival of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

“We have closed a work program with banking associations, electronics manufacturers and physical chains,” Massa revealed in a radio interview.

Along the same lines, he expanded: "That is, with stores selling household appliances to access televisions because of what it represents for the World Cup and what it weighs on our culture of 50, 55 and 58 inches with 4K technology; with low-consumption air conditioners because we want to raise awareness about energy saving."

“We are also going with a high range of cell phones with 30 fixed installments with a rate half of the current one,” added the national official.

Massa stressed that the objective regarding air conditioners is “for people to save resources and not to pay more.”

“The challenge when it comes to lowering subsidies is not that people pay more but that we all save: the State, resources and the people, energy,” explained the minister.
