According to a survey carried out by the Ministry of Industry, the White Line Industrial Sector was “key” in the recovery of the Argentine postpandemics economy. The domestic use devices increased its production by 54.9% year -on -year in November 2020, driven by dynamism in ice cream makers, washing machines and kitchens.

The detail of the survey shows that as of May 2020 "the impact of the deployment of commercial policy begins to be visualized and a change in trend in the production series is evident." Within that framework, the IPI of domestic use devices recorded two -digit year -on -year increases, accelerating the rise with the running of the months. In this way, the sector accumulated between September and November 2020 a rise of 40.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.

"The manufacture of ice cream makers has had a very significant rebound in recent months after two years of consecutive falls, namely: -32% in 2018 and -15% in 2019," says the report. Thus, in October the year -on -year growth in the production of ice cream makers was 55%, and the monthly production exceeded 80 thousand units for the first time in almost three years strengthening the participation of the national industry in the market.

"The White Line is one of the pillars of the Argentine industry," said Industry Secretary, knowledge economy and commercial management, Ariel Schale, within the framework of a tour of the Visuar-Samsung company located in the city of Cañuelas.

The Visuar company announced at the end of September 2020 an investment US $ S3 million in the 2020-2021 period for the expansion of its productive plant and new lines of ice cream production and small appliances.

According to SIPA data in the first 10 months of the year 2020, the “Freezers, Freezers, washing machine and dryer” item grew by 12.2% (+483 positions).
