It is an innovative desktop workstation, designed to meet the complex requirements of virtual production, 3D rendering, AI and machine learning professionals.

HP introduced the newest addition to the Z by HP workstation line: the HP Z6 G5 A. The new model features the highest number of cores ever seen in a Z by HP workstation and the ability to configure up to 3 high-performance graphics cards.

Powered by AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ PRO processors, the Z6 G5 A features up to 96 cores in a single workstation CPU, allowing users to simultaneously create and render on intensive projects. With room for 3 NVIDIA RTX™ 6000 Ada Generation GPUs or high-end AMD GPUs and eight channels of memory, the Z6 G5 A is perfect for quickly advancing virtual production, 3D modeling tasks, or advanced and complex data sets.

"The HP Z6 G5 A is a revolutionary workstation that represents the perfect fusion of maximized cores and powerful graphics," said Jim Nottingham, SVP and president of the computing and advanced solutions division of HP Inc. "Our team at HP is dedicated to empowering professionals in all fields of virtual production, 3D rendering and data science with a robust and reliable solution that not only meets, but also exceeds performance expectations. The Z6 G5 A is a testament to our commitment with innovation, sustainability and customer experience as we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in workstation technology.”

“At AMD, we are proud that our Ryzen™ Threadripper™ PRO 7000 Series processors power the new Z6 G5 A workstation, an innovative solution that meets the diverse and demanding needs of today's complex workflows,” said Jason Banta, corporate vice president and general manager, PC OEMs. “Our collaboration with HP is an example of our shared vision to push the boundaries of innovation and customer satisfaction, delivering a robust and reliable solution that exceeds expectations in the ever-changing field of high-performance computing.”

Maximized cores. Amazing graphics. Released Potential

The Z6 G5 A can quickly advance virtual production or 3D modeling tasks, as well as data science workflows such as AI and machine learning. With an innovative system design and the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7000 WX-Series processor, the Z6 G5 A features an impressive number of cores in a single workstation for greater productivity.

The Z6 G5 A also offers plenty of room for scalability as needs change. It features space for 3 high-end GPUs and flexible storage options with hot-swappable, front-accessible NVMe drives for quick and easy access to large files. The refreshed design of this generation of Z by HP workstations increases airflow, ensuring the system remains cool even during peak performance, and intelligent fan control adjusts fan speeds in real time using more than 20 temperature sensors to maintain quiet operation. With 360,000 hours of rigorous testing, MIL-STD testing, and certification for professional applications, the HP Z6 G5 A is built to last. As part of the world's most sustainable PC portfolio, HP's commitment to sustainability is reaffirmed in the design, made with 40% recycled plastic, and is expected to be EPEAT® Gold certified, reflecting the company's dedication to mitigating the environmental impact of its products.

In today's hybrid work environment, being able to leverage exceptional remote performance is a top priority. The HP Anyware solution enables a low-latency, color-accurate experience for 3D visual effects, AI, and machine learning workflows across multiple network connections. The HP Anyware Remote System Controller enables IT managers to monitor and manage fleets of workstations without compromising control. Additionally, Z by HP Data Science Stack Manager optimizes access to the best open source software solutions in an easy-to-use platform for data scientists and AI creators. The HP Z6 G5 A supports WSL2, providing the ability to run Linux within the Windows ecosystem, as well as easy access to Z by HP Data Science Stack Manager tools and the new Z by HP AI Studio.
