With its new line of mid-range smartphones, LG Electronics incorporates AI technology with specific and 100% useful applications, offering the user a personalized experience adapted to everyday needs, such as voice control and a smart camera to take the best photos, with different modalities. All this is framed in the concept of “Artificial Intelligence that serves you”, which will also be the main claim of the campaign.
Incorporation of Artificial Intelligence in the mid-range mobile category
The first novelty to highlight for this new line of smartphones is the inclusion of a special button, exclusive to LG, which activates the Google Assistant functionalities, thus omitting the need for the user to say 'OK Google' to use this function. By double clicking on this button you can quickly access your search and activity profile.
"With these new models, LG brings to users technologies that were previously exclusive to high-end equipment, incorporating new functionalities in mid-range models. The objective is to provide the best user experience based on the technological innovation that characterizes LG," explained Mariela Coda, Marketing Manager of LG Argentina.
Another differential is the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence in the main camera. This functionality, called (Al CAM), analyzes the objects or people on the screen, offering 8 different scene capture modes, which optimize the colors of the photos taken by the equipment. These modes are: pet, sunrise, sunset, food, person, landscape, flower and city. Each has specific color variants that can also be customized.
One, two and up to 3 cameras in the new models
The K40 has a single 16 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera with LED flash; The K50 has a dual rear camera of 13 MP and 2 MP, which gives depth to the photos, and on the front it has a 13 MP sensor; and the Q60 incorporates a triple rear camera of 16, 5 and 2 MP whose sensors are intended for standard photos, wide-range captures and the depth effect respectively, on the front it has a 13 MP sensor.
The front camera on the LG Q60 and LG K50 is located in a waterdrop cutout to take full advantage of the FullVision display for comfortable viewing, playback and communication, while the slim bezels make all three phones comfortable to hold and use with one hand.
Likewise, the new K family of LG smartphones offers large, high-quality screens. Each device features HD+ FullVision displays, 5.7 inches for the K40, and 6.26 inches for the K50 and Q60.
DTS:X sound, exclusive LG
The new models have DTS:X certification, the highest sound standard on the market, comparable to the sound quality of high-end equipment. DTS:
By connecting the equipment to headphones, the user will be able to enjoy realistic and deep sound quality, similar to that of a movie theater, with 7.1 channel surround sound. This way, you can listen to surround sound for different activities, such as games, series or movies or listen to music, always in the best quality. Likewise, it has a built-in equalizer that offers clear, powerful sound with bass presence.
Ultra resistance and maximum performance
The new models have a certification that guarantees ultra-resistance, since they have passed tests that measure the performance of the equipment in extreme conditions, such as high or low temperatures, humidity, vibrations or shocks. The LG K40 is the first phone in its category to have this certification.
On the other hand, and to maximize the daily usability of these smartphones, LG focused on maximizing one of the basic features most requested by smartphone users today: battery life. Both the Q60 and K50 are powered by a 3,500mAh battery for sessions that allow content sharing at 3,000mAh. The K40 battery provides very good performance, being functional for a full day of use between charges.
