LG Electronics (LG) has been honored for the fifth consecutive year by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) with a Performance Award.
Established in 1953, AHRI is a globally respected trade association that currently has more than 350 member companies representing HVAC, refrigeration and water heating solutions manufacturers.
For the Performance Award, AHRI engages the services of Intertek, a leading standards organization, certification and testing company, to evaluate whether the actual performance of the product is consistent with the specifications indicated by the manufacturer.
Only those companies whose HVAC offerings have passed the primary performance evaluation for three consecutive years are considered for the Performance Award.
The models tested fall into the following categories: Variable Refrigerant Air Flow (VRF), Unit Small Heat Pump (USHP), Air Cooled Chillers, Water Cooled Chillers, Packaged Terminal Heat Pumps (PTHP) and Room Fan Coil Units.
LG's flagship VRF system offers reliable heating operation, even in temperatures of -30 degrees below zero.
LG Multi V Water, a water source cooling system that offers better thermal efficiency thanks to LG's plate heat exchanger implementation, was also tested. The solution also reduces energy consumption by adjusting the volume of water used.
The air-cooled Inverter Scroll Chiller also takes advantage of advanced inverter technology to achieve a high level of efficiency. Its compact design unit offers impressive performance without taking up as much space as other models in its class.
