Before the beginning of the preseason, Gustavo Venosta commercial manager of Juan Carlos Prola y Cía S.R.L. , stated that the company is preparing a new line in advance. “Last summer the heat started early and lasted until the end of February”, said. "This made our customers sell very well and generated excellent expectations. The situation in the country gives us new challenges, but we trust in providing products and services in line with what consumers are looking for."
From Crivel, they predict a very good season due to the limited stock in the points of sale. “We plan to manufacture 15% more units than the previous season,” they said. “We are betting on a very good sale due to the high price of air conditioners in relation to purchasing power.”
“Last year the weather was favorable and demand exceeded expectations,” said Roberto Lascia, commercial manager of Protalia. "In particular, we exceeded 150 thousand units and received an excellent return from the channel. We expect a very good season, but the problem will revolve around the approval of licenses and the quota for currency transfer, which will directly impact the supply of critical raw materials that are not produced locally. Protalia maintains an important market share, among the top ten brands in the category."
Prices will be another axis around which purchasing decisions will revolve. “Cost structures continue to suffer sharp increases”, Lascia closed. "In some cases the increase was exponential and the imported parts are affected by the progressive devaluation and the costs of international freight. We work to improve, lower costs and not transfer everything to the price of the product, but we understand that in general terms, the increases will be between 55% and 60% year-on-year."
