BGH was the No. 1 brand in sales during the first quarter of the year, with a 48% share of the total units sold, a trend that also continued in April. In 2019, the brand had established itself as the absolute leader in the category for the tenth consecutive year, with a market share of 40.3%.
The company responsible for introducing the first microwave to the country in 1984 has maintained its leadership since 2009. "BGH has a very great commitment to the category. As a historical leader, it has the responsibility of innovating and developing new alternatives for the current needs of Argentine homes," said Daniel Rosenfeld, executive director of BGH Consumer.
The BGH Quick CheffBifunction B2280S9, MonoFunction B120M1 and BifunctionB2230S9 models - which were ranked number 1, 3 and 4 in sales respectively - are what explain the brand's leadership in this category.
