Three industry leaders join the IHA board of directors

The entity that represents the international household goods industry renewed part of its board of directors and defined the authorities that will lead its next fiscal period, which will begin on October 1.

The International Housewares Association (IHA) renewed part of its Board of Directors and appointed its new authorities for the 2026-2027 fiscal period, which will begin next October 1.

The appointments were made during the fall meeting of the association's board of directors, which brings together representatives of the international housewares and kitchen equipment industry.

As new members of the Board of Directors, with three-year terms, they were elected Wants eyebrows, chief strategy officer de Scrub Daddy; Eric Endres, president of Select Brands; and Linda Levine, president of The Godinger Group.

In turn, three directors who were already part of the entity were appointed to occupy executive positions for a period of one year. Tom McMahon, president of JURA Inc., will take over as chairman; Sal Gabbay, CEO of Gibson Homewares, will be vice president and chairman-elect; while Bill McHenry, founder and CEO of Widgeteer, will hold the treasury position.

New members of the Board

Wants eyebrows He serves as chief strategy officer of Scrub Daddy, where he is in charge of the long-term growth and development strategy, with a focus on international expansion, mergers and acquisitions operations and social media marketing.

During his 13 years at the company he also led sales operations in the United States and participated in the development of commercial alliances with important retail chains. Additionally, he oversaw the acquisition of two international subsidiaries, located in Hungary and the Netherlands.

For its part, Eric Endres is president of Select Brands, a kitchen appliance company based in Lenexa, Kansas, which he joined since its founding in 1998. With almost three decades of experience in the home goods industry, he held different positions within the company and currently leads a portfolio that includes the Toastmaster, TRU and Babycakes brands, as well as lines developed under license with Disney and Warner Bros.

Linda Levine, with more than 30 years of experience in the home and tableware industry, is president of The Godinger Group, a company specialized in tableware, gifts and home decoration, with more than 50 years of experience.

At Godinger, Levine leads sales and product development and oversees daily operations. She previously held leadership positions at Mikasa and Lifetime Brands, where she was SVP of Sales, and also worked on the retail side as a buyer of tableware and home goods at Macy's.

New authorities for the period 2026-2027

Tom McMahon, new chairman of the IHA, has been president of JURA since 2020. He joined the Swiss automatic coffee machine company in 2011 as sales director for the Midwest of the United States and in 2013 he was appointed vice president of Sales.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, he previously served as Regional Sales Manager for De’Longhi America. He began his career in the sector in 1994 at Syratech Corporation, where he worked with the Towle, Wallace and International Silver brands.

Sal Gabbay, CEO and fourth-generation owner of Gibson Homewares, has 47 years of experience with the company. Under his leadership, Gibson established itself as one of America's leading manufacturers of kitchen and tableware products, with brands such as Martha Stewart, Sur La Table, Calphalon, Babish, Kenmore, Crockpot, Mr. Coffee and Oster, as well as Gibson Home, Gibson Elite, Bloomhouse, Laurie Gates and Soho Lounge.

Gabbay had already served on the IHA Board between October 2022 and September 2025 and was re-elected for a new three-year term in 2025.

Meanwhile, Bill McHenry, founder and CEO of Widgeteer, created the company in 2007 and led its expansion into the kitchen and tabletop products market. With more than 40 years of corporate and business experience, he developed his career in sales, marketing and business development in companies such as Carnation—a division of Nestlé—, 3M and Philips North America.

Executive Committee

During the same meeting the IHA Executive Committee for 2026-2027, made up of McMahon, Gabbay and McHenry, along with:

  • Mike Otterman, president and CEO of Lodge Cast Iron, who will serve as immediate past chairman.
  • Mark Addison, president of the Consumer Group of John Boos & Company.
  • Pamela Stafford, president and CEO of Hestan Culinary.
  • Cze-Chao Tam, CEO de TRINITY International Industries.

The main functions of the IHA Board of Directors are to define the association's strategic priorities, oversee initiatives and provide guidance on the development of the housewares industry. Among its activities is also the organization of The Inspired Home Show, one of the main international exhibitions in the sector.

With this renewal, the IHA begins its 2026-2027 fiscal period with new members on its board of directors and an executive structure aimed at continuing to accompany the evolution of the international housewares industry.
