Unprecedented innovation
The new α9 III camera features an innovative full-frame stacked CMOS image sensor with global shutter, the first of its kind in the world, with approximately 24.6 effective megapixels and integrated memory. This is combined with the advanced BIONZ At the same time, it has the capture function, which allows you to record moments that passed before the shutter is released.
Thanks to its advanced artificial intelligence processing unit, this new model allows precise recognition of the movement and shape of the subject, both in video and photographs. The human pose estimation technology not only detects the eyes, but also the precise position of the body and head.
Increasing continuous shooting speed temporarily raises the shooting speed during burst shooting, ensuring accurate shooting of moving action. This feature is especially useful when photographing sports and other fast-paced activities, where anticipating the key moment is crucial.
When using a compatible Sony flash, such as the HVL-F60RM2 or HVL-F46RM (available separately), it can be synchronized with all shutter speeds, allowing photos to be captured even at speeds up to 1/80000th of a second.
"The Alpha 9 III and the SEL300F8GM lens are the result of continuous communication with professional photographers. The ergonomic design, button layout and menu functions make this camera perfect for capturing moments in action. We are excited to offer a tool that not only meets expectations, but exceeds them, allowing them to explore new frontiers," says Marconi.
Videos in maximum quality
The α9 III is the first in the Alpha™ series that is capable of recording 4K video up to 120p at high frame rates without cropping, allowing the user to record at the desired viewing angle. It is also possible to record high-resolution 4K 60p videos with 6K upsampling.
Its S-Cinetone feature offers the same color science that guarantees attractive colors and exceptional skin tones, hallmarks of the prestigious Cinema Line. S-Cinetone produces essential natural midtones to highlight human skin, along with soft colors and natural highlights. This allows creators to focus on the capture, achieving a cinematic look without the need to grade colors.
Comfort and versatility
The α9 III is equipped with a 4-axis multi-angle monitor that combines the practicality of a tilting monitor with the versatility of a variable lateral opening angle, allowing you to adjust the viewing angle without restrictions, both in vertical and horizontal captures.
Its slim and discreet design fits comfortably in the user's hand and allows the monitor to be detached from the back of the body and adjusted up to: 98° up, 40° down and 180° to the sides.
Featuring a 3.2mm touchscreen LCD screen, optimized for outdoor use, it offers 2.1 million dot resolution, a wide color gamut, and exceptional brightness for clear, comfortable viewing. On the other hand, the α9 III has a new custom front button that provides faster access to the continuous capture speed increase.
