They took advantage of the World Cup in Qatar and the gap left in the market by the departure of Falabella and the disappearance of Garbarino. Start_, the technology and electro chain with only a year and a half of existence, invested $150 million in 5 new stores that will open next month and will reach 30 in 2023.

Start_, is a retail chain specializing in technology with ambitious expansion plans and a disruptive proposal in customer service. It was born in 2021 with a location in Belgrano, CABA, with the help of two partners who had a distributor of which all the large retailers in the country with operations such as Frávega and Musimundo were clients.

Seeing the decline of the big players (such as Falabella, Garbarino, Ribeiro and others in evident retraction) they decided to take a step forward and add sales to the public, enhanced by the knowledge they brought in the import and distribution logistics of these high-demand items.

As explained by one of the two partners and founders of Start_, Nicolás Osta (the other is Esteban Isorna), at the end of this month and during January of next year, 5 new branches will open: four located in AMBA and one in Mendoza.

With an initial investment of $300 million, Start_ started in September 2021. Today it has 150 employees, professionals with technological training that allow us to respond to the needs of today's consumer.

Since then and with a strong growth in billing in the last semester, leveraged with TV sales for the World Cup and now with typical Christmas items such as Notebooks, Game Consoles and cell phones, among others; Start_ has the benefit of having the supply of market-leading brands due to its support as an importer with history.

"Although imports are the great challenge, those of us who have been importing have the possibility of maintaining the volume. This is how we support this new commercial structure," explained Osta. Next year, he predicts, the retail business will surpass that of the distributor.

In Start_ (which already has stores in high demand points such as Unicenter, Plaza Oeste shopping and in Córdoba) you can find financing up to certain amounts. The company's idea is to add more financial partners to expand the offer of payment in installments.
