Sony Latin America appointed Kenchiro Hibi as the new president for the region. The new manager takes office starting today and will be tasked with leading with excellence all the operational functions demanded by one of the most dynamic markets for the company.

Kenchiro Hibi has more than 32 years of experience in the company. Before being appointed to lead the entire Latin American region, he was president of Sony Brazil. Likewise, he has significant experience in the Latin market. Among the positions he held during his career is his management as director of Network Electronics at Sony Latin America; He was also head of marketing, planning and sales at Sony México. Additionally, he has extensive experience in other markets such as Sony Russia and Sony India, in which Kenchiro Hibi led the presidency of both countries.

As president of Sony Latin America, Kenchiro Hibi will be in charge of the sales strategies of the multiple consumer categories: Digital Imaging (digital photography cameras, video, lenses and accessories; Home Entertainment & Sound Business (televisions) and Video & Sound Business (headphones, speakers and mini components). With his extensive experience in different markets and types of consumers, he will bring a global and innovative vision to offer Latin American customers memorable experiences. The new manager's knowledge will also drive the teams work to manage better relationship strategies with distributors.
