Retail Day 2021 took place at the Buenos Aires Convention Center and brought together the main leaders from sectors such as supermarkets, industry and related companies. This is the region's leading mass consumption event, where participants enjoyed an exhibition in which different companies unveiled their most recent launches. Representatives from firms such as Marolio, Carrefour, IRSA, Deloitte, Scanntech Argentina, PwC Argentina and Tetra Pack, among others, were present.

In addition, seventeen professionals passed through the auditorium and spoke about the present of the market and the future of the industry. International business rounds were also held, a space designed to do business. Some of the speakers were: Santiago Perino, Mastercard Business Development Manager for Argentina and Uruguay; Agustín Longo, from VP LATAM; Daniel Elsztain, CEO of IRSA Commercial Properties; Matías Grondona, general manager of GDN Argentina; and Javier González, commercial director in Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay of NielsenIQ.

The most emotional moment was the presentation of the PAR Awards (Annual Retailer Award), which distinguished personalities from the sector for their work. In this context, the director of the magazine, Mariano D'anna, presented the award to Roberto Basualdo from San Juan for his career as a wholesale businessman and stated: "Thank you very much Retail Day Latam Magazine! I feel very honored by this award that has been given to me today, the recognition of the business career. I congratulate the other winners. And I congratulate them for the initiative of creating spaces for dialogue, promoting business rounds, with specialists who deal with the present and the future of the market. I always say it, Argentina moves forward with more production and work, and in this, businessmen have a fundamental role.”

This was the 19th edition of the event, which this year was able to be held in person again, complying with all hygiene and health protocols within the framework of the Covid 19 pandemic.
