Novatech, a leading national company in the manufacturing of technological products, inaugurated a new plant in Catamarca where it will manufacture educational notebooks, batteries for portable equipment and electromobility. The start-up required an investment of $100 million in this first stage and will generate 50 new jobs.
With this new factory, Novatech now has four plants in the country. It already has two plants in Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego, and a third in the Technological District of the City of Buenos Aires. It also has two distribution centers and specialized service centers throughout the country to guarantee direct and quality service to its customers.
The Tierra del Fuego plants were recently reactivated. Between them, it has a covered area of 10,500 m2 in which it produces a variety of household appliances and technology products from the Enova and Quantum brands. At the Athuel plant, the group launched its new manufacturing line for 5 and 8 kilo top-loading washing machines. While the Leanval plant produces Smart TV and 4G LTE Cellphones.
The reactivation of the Río Grande factories and the inauguration of the new Catamarca factory are part of the production incentive policies, both at the national and provincial levels, to promote the growth and development of the industry, the company reported.
In Catamarca, 72,000 educational notebooks will be produced so that, through the Juana Manso program, they will be distributed to students throughout the country, he highlighted.
The company was created in 2004, employs almost 300 people and supplies the mass consumer, corporate, and government markets with notebooks, chargers and batteries, PCs, smart TVs, household appliances, and will soon develop its electromobility line.
During the inauguration, Pablo Rubio, CEO of Novatech stated that "we believe that northwest Argentina, through the industrialization of lithium - which is the main component in the generation of storable energy, fundamental in technology and transportation - has enormous potential for entrepreneurs and governments to join forces to promote this immense source of sustainable resources that will revolutionize the industry of our country."
"Just as we were reactivating the production lines of Río Grande, now we take on a new challenge, that our production originates in this province, more than 3,700 kilometers from those in the south. It is a long journey that accounts for the growth of Novatech, but also the support of the Nation and the province for this project to become a reality," added the businessman.
