Powered by Thinkshield, the Moto Secure app is the destination for all vital phone security and privacy features. Within the app, you can quickly check and control your device's protection with easy access to all related Android and Motorola apps and settings.

In addition to quick access to privacy controls and security features, the Moto Secure app includes a number of new protections designed to offer peace of mind:

• Add an extra layer of protection to sensitive information and apps by hiding them in Secure Folder and protected by a specific PIN. With Secure Folder, you also have the option to activate Covert Mode, which allows you to select from four icon and name options, instead of visibly displaying apps within a folder, for even greater privacy. This is especially useful for hiding sensitive information, such as financial apps, digital wallets, shopping apps, or email accounts, behind a discreet icon and label.
• Whether you're traveling or working from a public location, it's important to minimize risks when connecting to public Wi-Fi and mobile networks with the Network Protection feature. By turning this feature on, you will be automatically notified when a hotspot or Wi-Fi-related security issue is detected. Within network protection, they will also be able to prevent certain applications from using open connections and prevent spoofing by blocking 2G connections.
• Lock Screen Security allows you to view and control all lock options to configure the protection the user needs. This includes the ability to block network and security features. For example, previously, a thief could simply disable the mobile network or Wi-Fi, preventing the lost device from being located. Now, by activating this feature, you will be able to maintain control and eliminate the possibility of someone turning off the mobile network or Wi-Fi on your device without unlocking your phone.
• PIN Pad Scramble mixes the numerical layout of the input screen, to unlock the device without the risk of prying eyes memorizing the pattern of the numbers pressed.
• The Privacy Dashboard offers a clear and complete view of the apps that have accessed your calendar, contacts, files, camera, microphone, and location over the last 24 hours. If they see something they're not comfortable with, they'll be able to manage app permissions, update security settings, and change privacy controls right from the Moto Secure app.
  The new Moto Secure app is currently available on motorola edge 50 pro, motorola edge 50 ultra, motorola edge 50 fusion and moto g85 5G, among other devices compatible with Android 13 or higher.
