Technologies such as virtual reality allow buildings to be created, designed and displayed even before they are built. In addition, they give potential clients the opportunity to see their future apartment, decide the division of its modules, see how the rooms look with their favorite colors, and even choose how to furnish them.

Although the metaverse is an idea in constant development, some companies in the sector are already beginning to see this type of solutions as a way to boost their sales through real estate agencies that use, for example, oculus to show units to investors or end buyers.

Thanks to these new tools, architects, builders and real estate agencies are also able to study future works in detail, and anticipate problems in the use of materials, orientation of the structure, and the division of spaces, among other fundamental aspects.

A pioneer in this type of innovation is the Uruguayan company Kopel Sánchez, which this week inaugurated an experience center for people seeking to know what the apartments in which they will live or invest in the future will be like. The space has an innovative augmented reality sector to tour all the developer's projects; Visitors will have the opportunity to walk through hallways, environments, “paint walls” and even place and remove furniture, all advised by a group of company professionals.

"We always seek to be at the forefront within the market and to meet this objective we rely heavily on technology. We know that the Metaverse is here to stay in Real Estate, that is why we decided to anticipate and begin to develop our ventures within this world to help our clients make the best choice when choosing one of our units," said Fabián Kopel, Director of Kopel Sánchez Desarrollos, during the opening of the experience center.

The space, recently inaugurated in Montevideo, will be a multipurpose space where there will be art exhibitions, private rooms, bars, closed environments to enjoy with the oculus, vernissages, pop ups, launches of new trend brands and it can even be used for events. It will also have a relaxation area to taste coffee and generate meetings, and personalized attention offices for all those interested in learning about the developer's endeavors.

"This advance brought with it the possibility of showing every corner of what the future apartment will be and will allow them, for example, to live the experience of being on the balconies, examine common spaces, tour them and even get to know the area or nearby squares. The possibility of recreating a construction in a virtual and interactive environment facilitates commercial processes for both investors and buyers, since it gives them a more realistic and immersive vision of the building," added Sebastian Sánchez, Director of the developer.

The future is more present than ever thanks to tools like Virtual Reality, since it is improving and advancing many sectors and industries to make its practice much more bearable. The main objective of this type of technology in architecture is not only to create the maximum possible realism to visualize a totally spectacular and real result, but also to facilitate work on construction sites to advance faster in projects and thus build the best spaces and ventures for each person.
