Signify, launches the new Philips Smart Led Connected by Wiz and joins the roof and habitat organizations for humanity with a regional initiative that aims to donate PHILIPS LED lamps to communities in a situation of greater vulnerability in Argentina, Peru and Chile.

Signify (Euronext: Light), world leader in lighting, continues to innovate and resignifies the popular LED lamp, launching the new PHILIPS Smart LED philips with Wiz technology, with an action that aims to improve the lives of those who have less.

The action is that for each purchase of the new PHILIPS Smart Led Connected by Wiz smart lamp, Signify will donate a LED Philips Lamp to Habitat Organizations for Humanity in Argentina and Chile and Ceiling in Peru to illuminate the different projects that will carry out these NGOs for 2023.

According to the Inter -American Development Bank, access to electricity in Latin America improved in recent decades, but there are still around 40 million people without access to this basic service. It is recognized that lighting is a fundamental aspect of the quality of life in homes, and that it is necessary to continue working on policies and programs that promote access to the adoption of efficient and safe lighting technologies in the region.

The commitment in Argentina

In order to improve this reality and to make a significant contribution to the Argentine habitat effort, a non -profit organization that advocates the right to adequate housing, Signify will donate to the institution a LED philips lamp for each philips smart led connected by Wiz sold.

In parallel, Signify will accompany the beneficiaries in the process of construction and improvement of homes, providing them with training, tools and technical orientation to improve their living conditions.
On the one hand, the donation will be destined, among others to the Urban Socio -Saladero Integration project, Bahía Blanca that carries out Argentine Habitat. They will also go to the projects that the organization has in the west and north zone of Greater Buenos Aires. Likewise, it is planned to extend the scope for 2024, reaching a total of 1035 homes that, together with other projects, the donation of almost 8,000 lamps in the country is ambition.
