Together for inclusion: the commitment of Liliana Electrical appliances and the Trama project
This initiative aims to provide training and job placement opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.

TRAMA – Network for sustainable labor inclusion is a social project that aims to provide training and job opportunities to young people with intellectual disabilities in the city of Rosario. The project is aimed at people between 18 and 35 years old who are offered training in different trades. This program seeks to promote the labor inclusion of people with disabilities in companies of different sizes and sectors.
The project is a collaboration between the Fundación del Sol Naciente and the Fundación del Gran Rosario, who obtained financing from the Delegation of the European Union in Argentina for Civil Society Organizations (CSO). This initiative was selected among 374 other proposals from across the country in the 2020 call. The organization's objective is to promote actions that contribute to breaking down the barriers that limit the full and effective participation of people with disabilities in society so that they can live a more autonomous life.
Liliana Electrical Appliances is one of the companies that actively participates and collaborates with the TRAMA Project. Since their first participation in the project, they have been involved with the objective of generating equal opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities and reaffirming their strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. Through the project, the company has managed to incorporate three young people with intellectual disabilities into the company's permanent staff, and plans to continue incorporating more in the future. They have recently added four more young people through this project.
The participation of young people with intellectual disabilities in companies through the TRAMA Project works as a highly enriching experience for both them and the companies that incorporate them. In addition to diversifying their work team, these companies add values such as solidarity, commitment and the enthusiasm that these young people have shown during their work performance.
Santiago Gallo, head of Human Resources at Liliana, highlights that there are no successful companies if there are no active policies to generate equal opportunities. "At Liliana we know how important it is to promote equality and promote job opportunities. For us the experience has always been extremely positive, thanks to this project today Liliana is a more human company" concludes Gallo.
The TRAMA project continues to grow every day and has the support of many institutions like Liliana that share its values and actively support the participation and dissemination of this initiative that has changed the lives of those who went through this experience.
