Getnet: QR interoperability in its collection solutions
Grupo Santander's collections and services solution concludes its integration into all collection platforms, accepting payments with credit, debit, and prepaid cards in banking apps and virtual wallets.

Grupo Santander's collections and services solution was already interoperable with transfer payments, but with the new BCRA provision it concludes its integration into all collection platforms, accepting payments with credit, debit, and prepaid cards in banking apps and virtual wallets.
Getnet, Grupo Santander's collections and services solution, announces that it has adopted QR interoperability in all its collection platforms for transfer payments, virtual wallets and credit, debit and prepaid cards.
The fintech, which was one of the first to launch interoperable QR for payments with transfers (PCT) in November 2021, responds to the regulations established by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) with the aim of completing the collection alternatives and offering simpler and more comprehensive solutions for its clients.
The BCRA made it mandatory for different acquirers and aggregators to accept any QR code regardless of which bank or virtual wallet they are clients of. Previously, this was only possible for PCT. Based on this new measure, Getnet is launching this solution that allows businesses, professionals, SMEs and companies to charge with QR by credit card, which will give them the possibility of taking advantage of the discounts and benefits offered by their banks or virtual wallets.
"Our goal was always to be integrated into the entire collections ecosystem to make our clients' operations more efficient. Interoperability was a challenge we had as an industry, which undoubtedly contributes to financial inclusion by lowering costs and giving greater freedom of choice," says Guillermo Bergesio, Product Manager at Getnet.
"The interoperable QR in Argentina represents a significant advance in the digitalization of payments and in the modernization of the financial system, with the potential to provide greater comfort and efficiency to customers. In addition, it guarantees safer and more agile transactions," commented Silvina Gatti, IT Manager at Getnet.
Getnet was born 4 years ago, going on the market with the Device and the Payment Link aimed at small businesses. Then it incorporated API checkout and integrated with various virtual stores. In 2023, it launched the Get Classic POS and Get Smart Pos terminals that respond to the needs of larger businesses, such as SMEs and companies. Today it has a comprehensive collections platform that provides solutions to meet the needs of any type of business. It allows its clients to accept various means of payment and has a robust proposal of promotions and benefits that they can offer in their stores.
