In the first year of the pandemic, which was very challenging for the world and Argentines, e-commerce grew by 124% and exceeded $900,000 million in sales, according to data from the 2020 Annual Study carried out by CACE together with the consulting firm Kantar Insights.
The success of the Hot Sale organized by CACE, with a 35% increase in company participation (709 in 2020 vs 954 in 2021) and more than 19,000 million pesos in total turnover in the 2020 edition, responds to an e-commerce market that is projected to be very auspicious in the country.
This year, which presents a similar context, with new users making their debut in online shopping, consumer preferences are already visible. Among the highlighted product categories, “Home” is mentioned, which had an increase of 26% during the first quarter of 2021 (relative to the same period in 2020), according to CACE.
