One of the supermarket chains with the greatest presence in the country is looking for direct commercial partners to “promote the regional industry and enhance work.” This was announced by Carrefour, when opening the call to include new suppliers to its value chain.
"We are proud to be able to make this call and open our doors to the country's SMEs. There is a lot of talent and knowledge behind each development," said Néstor Sist, Director of Merchandise and Logistics of the firm in Argentina.
And along the same lines he added "we have to continue accompanying micro, small and medium-sized companies in their initiatives and development, working together to bring their products closer to the 500,000 customers who visit us daily in the 22 provinces of the country where we have branches."
What producers are looking for and how to sign up
● Fresh Products: National manufacturers of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, cheeses, cold cuts, fish, bakery, fresh and frozen meats and their derivatives, and prepared dishes or rotisserie products.
● Warehouse Products: National manufacturers of cleaning and perfumery products, dry foods (infusions, sweets, cookies, preserves, dressings, spices, noodles, rice, flour, pastries and snacks), oils, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, industrial bread, eggs, refrigerated and frozen foods. Gluten-free, reduced or lactose-free, organic, low sodium and no added sugar proposals are valued.
● Own brand: With 107 suppliers, of which 98% are SMEs, it includes the search for national manufacturers of food, beverages, cleaning and personal hygiene items. “Proposals that are gluten-free, reduced or lactose-free, organic, low in sodium and without added sugar are valued,” they explained.
● Bazaar: National manufacturers of tableware and glassware, luggage (bags, backpacks, backpacks), eco-friendly products (biodegradable, recycled, recyclable, etc.), vehicles (bicycles, tricycles, electric mobility) and wooden toys.
● Textile: National manufacturers of clothing, footwear, towels, sheets and home textile products.
● Electro: National manufacturers of household appliances and technology.
