With an investment of 10 million dollars and after six years, the production of notebooks from Taiwan's largest international brand was resumed in the country. The operation is carried out in the Technological District of the City of Buenos Aires, with an installed capacity of 200,000 devices per year.

ASUS is once again betting on the Argentine industry, consolidating itself as the first international brand to inaugurate a new stage in the local production of notebooks. The first equipment made in the country is now available on the market, and can be purchased with the Ahora 12, 18 and 24 financing plans.

With an investment of 10 million dollars, the local operation has an installed production capacity of 200,000 ASUS notebooks per year and an employment projection that could exceed 70 jobs, including engineers, technicians and qualified operators.

“We celebrate the return to ASUS production in Argentina, it is a project that we have been working on since 2021 together with our Engineering team at headquarters and our local partners,” said Matías Plaul, ASUS Sales Manager in Argentina. “It is very good news for Argentine consumers, who will have availability and purchasing facilities in the latest technologies and innovation,” he added.

The last stage of this local industry was between 2011 and 2016, when ASUS produced more than 200,000 devices together with Argentine manufacturers. The current bet is bigger than the previous one and the company does not rule out raising these numbers even more in the future.

The Taiwanese company is locally producing equipment to respond to the needs of the local market, with a versatile portfolio that covers the work, educational and home segments. All notebook models produced in Argentina are equipped with Intel's 11th generation Core processor series and Windows 11 operating system, which guarantees excellent performance and functionality for users.

PC Arts Argentina was selected by ASUS to locally produce its equipment. Diego Pacheco, Director of Operations and Projects of the company, expressed: "We are proud that ASUS once again chose us as partners for this important project. It is a recognition of our industrial standards and commitment to quality and a sign that we can have an efficient and competitive local industry."

The first units of this new ASUS chapter in the country are now available in the local market. This is the ASUS Laptop X515EA notebook, which can now be purchased in the country's main retailers and marketplaces with the benefits of the Now 12, 18 and 24 programs.

"This is excellent news for the national industry and we are happy to be part of it, responding to the growing demand for international quality devices in the local market. In recent years, the pandemic accelerated the digitalization of numerous processes and routines in many sectors. ASUS' goal is to make people's lives easier and we are excited to be the first global brand that is committed to local production so that Argentines have the best devices at their fingertips," concluded Matías Plaul, ASUS Sales Manager in Argentina.

The project foresees the gradual growth of production volumes and the incorporation of new product lines, both for home use and for the corporate and educational customer segment.
