Electrolux Group Minimizes the use of plastic in its production processes

Within the framework of the July Plastic Free initiative, the Swedish company provides some data on its commitment to the environment: almost 25% of its products are among the most efficient in the market in terms of sustainability.

“July Plastic Free” or "Julio without plastic" is a global campaign that takes place every year in July to raise awareness about plastic pollution and promote the reduction of the use of single -use plastics. Within the framework of this movement, Electrolux Group It reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and communicates some of the actions it carries out with the same objective, in its production plants.

Various initiatives are implemented to achieve resources efficiency and increase the use of recycled materials in the production of their appliances. Year after year, they explore ways to ensure enough high quality material volumes while investing in their own recycled plastic: Carborec®. Likewise, since steel is the most used material, it works a few years ago to change the steel supply, based on scrap.

In addition, the Swedish company has established ambitious goals to reduce its waste available (DR) and the product indicator per product (WPP), with an annual 5% improvement objective. Currently, almost 25% of its products are among the most efficient in the market in terms of sustainability; And even some of the frosts that are being marketed, are manufactured with 70% recycled plastic.
