Appliance manufacturers assured that product sales rebounded last October, after two months of decline, thanks to the implementation of the Now 30 plan in the last 10 days of that month.

"October was a month in which sales rebounded, after two months of decline. All products manufactured in Tierra del Fuego rebounded, but especially air conditioners and televisions," they explained from the Association of Argentine Electronics Terminal Factories (Afarte), although they specified that they still do not have the final figures.

In any case, they highlighted that “October was the month in which Now 30 began to take effect,” and added that “Cybermonday began on the 31st of that month, and both factors encouraged consumption.”

They also highlighted that "in the case of televisions, the proximity of the World Cup accelerated sales, just as the rise in temperature influenced the increase in sales of air conditioners."

The Now 30 program
Now 30 came into effect on October 21 and includes a 90-day freeze on the prices of products such as refrigerators, washing machines, cell phones, televisions and low-consumption air conditioning equipment, all of national production.

The new program is in effect until December 22, or until a limit for the set of operations of $100,000 million is exceeded.

The Government also provided the option of extending it until next January 19, which will depend on its operation and reception, according to sources from the Ministry of Commerce.

You can finance the purchase of unconditioned air conditioning with inverter technology, washing machines, refrigerators, 50-inch or larger televisions with 4K resolution and low and mid-range 4G cell phones, all of national production.

The limit of the sales value of the products is $200,000 with a maximum coupon price limit - that is, including interest - of $400,000.

The financing rate is 48%, almost half of the current rate in the financial system for the payment of credit card statements, which is 83% of the Annual Effective Rate (TEA).
