Philips TV & Sound has won 4 Red Dot Awards 2022. The four awards are shared by seven new products created by the company's Amsterdam design team. The winning products of the 2022 Red Dot Awards are:
● Philips Ambilight TV OLED+ 907 – minimalist design with natural materials including a Kvadrat acoustic fabric that wraps the integrated Bower & Wilkins sound bar, a dark satin aluminum swivel stand and a Muirhead leather-wrapped remote control. These materials, added to the best image and sound quality, set a new standard for premium TV.
● Philips Ambilight TV OLED+ 937 – Its base is a powerful Bowers & Wilkins sound bar covered in Kvadrat, includes details in dark satin aluminum, four-sided Ambilight and remote control covered in Muirhead leather. These materials, added to the best image and sound quality, set a new standard of performance in premium TV.
● Philips Fidelio – The new Philips Fidelio wireless sound systems won an award: Soundbar FB1, Subwoofer FW1 and Wireless Speaker FS1. The entire Philips Fidelio ecosystem stands out for the harmonious combination of various materials, such as its metal speaker with Muirhead leather details.
● Philips Bluetooth Sports Speakers S4807 and S7807 – With this new range of Bluetooth speakers, Philips TV & Sound extends the concept of resistant equipment and excellent design that it already offered in its range of headphones.
For more than 60 years, the Red Dot Awards have recognized the best design products in terms of functionality, quality, ergonomics and innovation and recently added durability and ecological compatibility to the list of features to consider. All of these factors are what make the Red Dot awards the most sought after for their international distinction in the field of design.
In the 2022 edition of the Red Dot, 5,500 products from small and large companies from around the world were presented. A panel of 50 professionals judges the products based on nine attributes.
Rod White, design director at Amsterdam-based Philips TV & Sound, commented: 'These awards are among the most prestigious that a professional design community can bestow. Winning an award of this magnitude is a highlight to recognize our year's work. I am delighted that once again Red Dot has recognized our unique approach to designer electronics products. We strive to avoid focusing on superficialities and try to create a product that the consumer enjoys from the moment of purchase and throughout its useful life.
